Who we are

C4BL is an ally organization of Caltech students, staff, and faculty allies, dedicated to directly supporting the work of the Black Scientists & Engineers of Caltech (BSEC).

Our mission is to transform Caltech into a space that allows Black scientists and engineers to thrive. We recognize the role that Caltech has historically played in bolstering white supremacy, and we believe that the only path forward involves directly reckoning with that past and actively embracing anti-racism.

We unequivocally support BSEC, and we exist to amplify and provide labor for their goals and demands, particularly those set forth in their petition entitled “Anti-Racism: What Can Caltech Do?“.
